The U.S. House of Representatives approved a two-year extension for the Maternal Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV), Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and other key health programs on Thursday with passage of a Medicare bill addressing physician reimbursement.
The “Doc Fix” bill was passed with strong bipartisan support. It now faces a vote in the U.S. Senate.
The Senate is expected to consider the bill after its two week spring recess.
