Florida receives nearly $11 million annually in federal funding to support home visiting programs in high-need communities. Seventeen projects, covering 25 of 29 high-need Florida communities and four contiguous areas, were selected for funding through a competitive process.
Three proven models are used by communities based on local needs:
- Nurse-Family Partnership,
- Parents as Teachers,
- and Healthy Families Florida.
Programs are implemented by local Healthy Start Coalitions, hospitals, federally-qualified health centers and other community-based organizations.
