A Technical Assistance Webinar was held today to review the Request for Proposals (RFP) for new and expanded MIECHV sites released on November 14, 2016. A copy of the presentation is posted here. To access the presentation audio, click here.
Funding will be awarded for up to six sites for 18 months to implement or expand one of three evidence-based home visiting models: the Nurse Family Partnership, Healthy Families Florida and Parents as Teachers. Approximately 300 additional families will be served by new or expanded sites. A 2011 needs assessment identified 29 high-need communities in the state. Evidence-based home visiting programs are currently implemented in 21 of these areas with MIECHV funding. Only one application will be accepted for each high-need area.
Applications will be reviewed and scored by an External Objective Review Panel.
Letters of intent are due December 16, 2016. Applications are due on January 20, 2017. Funding will be available April 1, 2017 – September 30, 2018.
