The 2015 Pinwheels for Prevention toolkit is now available to assist communities in planning Child Abuse Prevention Month activities in April. Distributed by Prevent Child Abuse Florida with funding from the state Department of Children & Families and Florida Ounce of Prevention Fund, the toolkit is part of a national movement to change the way we think about prevention. The new social marketing effort focuses attention on the importance of learning about healthy child development, supporting positive parenting practices and taking action on behalf of the children and families in communities.
The toolkit offers useful pointers and templates for tailoring and implementing a local public awareness campaign and engaging prevention partners.
